Madoka Magica is just a magical girl series, so it has the whole cast as girls. Plus it’s a magical girl series.

Clannad and Lucky Star’s perverted moments are supposed to be funny, and big boobs bounce because they’re big. The cute art style is characteristic of shoujo, and fluffy series are also shoujo too.

when asked to name and describe the 5 anime/manga demographics they answer this:

There’s Shounen, which has lots of action and characters drawn in the shounen art style, which is more hard and edgy. There’s many enemies and the character gets stronger. Shoujo has a more shiny and soft look and art style, and either is romance or just something else that girls do. The huge shiny shoujo eyes show up in shoujo. There’s also Magical girl anime which are shoujo. Seinen is like Shounen, but more mature, with mature and sexy females, and adult situations, and it can contain rape. Josei is like shoujo, but a bit less flowery and has romance, but more of a realistic type, and less flowery. Then there’s anime made for children, and Japan has anime like that just like we have spongebob and adventure time.

I don’t think you really understand what I said. It’s not my personal opinion, but it’s what it is defined as. It’s what is commonly accepted as the defining lines, so it makes up the definitions for the demographics.
